  1. I reposted this video, but here was a nice comment from the previous posting of this same interview:

Okay, this is thus far the best call interview that you have conducted =)

I like the sister's positive attitude and the strong determination that she has got to make her vision become a reality by getting help from whatever sources available out there for her. I am glad she picked a Muslim source, it subtly says a lot about Sr. Navin!

    Even though I won't be able to attend this event, but I have learned a lot, and hope to learn more!}}}

  2. AssalamuAlaikum sheikh Muhammad, you mentioned the reminder: 'there is no Shepard that Allah has entrusted with a trust that he dies without fulfilling that trust except that Allah will forbid him the paradise'

It was really powerful for me subhanAllah and reminded me just how important it is for me to raise my children as Ibaadillah.

Where may I find the Hadith in full and in Arabic? JazakAllah khair

For Sister "Umm Maymoonah" --- with regard to the hadeeth referred to, that there is no Shepherd whom Allah entrusts with a trust & then that individual dies without fulfilling that trust except that Allah will forbid him from Paradise (in one wording: 'from even smelling the scent of Jannah').

This hadeeth is found in "Saheeh Muslim" (142), on the authority of معقل بن يسار المزني (Ma'qil bin Yasaar Al-Muzani, may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet said as follows: ما من عبد يسترعيه الله رعية، يموت يوم يموت, وهو غاش لرعيته، إلا حرم الله عليه الجنة "There is no servant (of Allah) whom Allah entrusts with a ra'iyyah, and then that person dies on the day that he dies, and he had been ghaash (heedless, and was cheating) his ra'iyyah, except that Allah will make Paradise forbidden for him."

    * It can also be found in "Saheeh Al-Bukhaari", with a slightly different wording, also on the authority of Ma'qil bin Yasaar. The wording is: ما من عبد يسترعيه الله رعية، فلم يحطها بنصحه، إلا لم يجد رائحة الجنة

    In "Saheeh Al-Bukhaari" (7151), the following wording is also found; that the Prophet (peace be on him) said: مَا مِنْ وَالٍ يلي رعِيَّةً من المسلمين، فيَمُوتُ وهُوَ غَاشّ لهم، إلا حَرَّمَ اللهُ عليه الجنةَ

Ma sha Allah! This reminds me of my professor's email signature...."Some succeed because they are destined, but most succeed because they are determined". Sr. Navin's determination is very visible and I hope she succeeds in her endeavors, In sha Allah.

However, I do believe that attaining a higher education is most vital and will only help those determined to flourish. Muslims should strive to be leaders through personal development first as Sr. Navin mentioned, for the betterment of our communities. :)

    Alhamdulillah.
Sr.Navin has a good head on her shoulders.May Allah continue to guide her in her quest to fulfil her earthly obligations and grant her Jannah as her ultimate reward.

  9. Subhan Allah, I can relate so much with her. except that she had to courage to do something about it. Now her courage has given me courage to start thinking and taking initiative for myself. I hope one day i can stop being afraid and break out of my own shell and stop being a people pleaser.

may ALLAH give her more courage and make her struggles easy for her. AMEEN

  10. Bismillahee Rahmaneer Raheem,

As salam alaikum Sheikh Muhammed, Personally I would like to thank you so much for contributing to the Muslim Community. May Allah Taala multiply your rewards. I was in Europe, when I started listening to your lectures 4-5 years back. And when I landed up in Canada, I didn't believe myself that I would actually meet you.

I am still a student, obviously not a good thing as I am paying a lot of money to the school. I want to come for the NicheHeroLeadership certification, but obviously due to financial reasons, I have been unable to find any other solution. I am still making du'aa to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala to help me get to this seminar. I don't give up until the last moment.

Please make du'aa as I don't want to miss this opportunity.

    Assalam alikum,

I was wondering what can a person do if they cannot afford the program. I am only a student that gets allowance from my father. IS there like a payment plan or something?

    Jazakum Allaho kheir
