  1. Mashallh, talk about getting someone's attention!Just the idea of a sister taking off hijab is so shocking to us, it's like these women who take off their clothes to prove a point. Protest by getting naked. They may feel passionately about their issue, but they are not going about it the right way at all.May Allah SWT bless you for these tidbits you send us daily. If we open our emails and digest your reminders daily, then go out to our daily lives, we will make a difference, Enshallah.

  2. In this respect, I once heard from somebody that one of the four imaams said that not praying because of fear of showing off (riya) is riya.

  4. Asalaamu Alaikum,

This story makes me wonder the true meaning of sincerity. If one is afraid that by playing big their sincerity is at risk than perhaps one must look inwards and strengthen that sincerity so that no matter what, there is no risk of tainting it.

I'm having a rough time wrapping my head around what that level of sincerity would/should feel like but I pray to Allah SWT that we don't get afraid to go big in our endeavours and that we keep our figurative Hijabs on at all times... Ameen

  5. MashaAllah brother that was really great!

Yesterday, my friends and I were discussing an issue of one girl actually wanting to take off her hijab even though she has worn it for so long. We were giving our friend suggestions and advice on helping her friend keep it on and do the right thing. SubhanAllah, I see this video the very next day.

Also, I like the point you make in this clip about not staying low and doing the wrong thing. I never really thought of it that way.

    JazakAllahu khayran.

  9. Is this a sign for me?
I just thought to share my story with you. I have been wearing hijab for over 15 years. I have started a new career in hairstyling since 2009 and went to hell and back with all the nasty comments about muslim women. For example "can a pig wear lipstick. why you want to do hair when you wear a bag on you head. How can you do hair with that thing on your head. nobody wants a terriorest here. go back to where you come from. you can't touch men. you poeple kill your children, you chop off people hands. will you husband come kill me if a man walks in the salon. you stink from a mile away, etc. Now I am finished with schooling and I need a job as an apprentice in order to write my license exam and to get a book sign off as I master skills necessary. With the muslims that own a salon they want me to work for free and they want thousands of dollars to sign my apprenticeship book. With the non muslims, they just can't comprehend someone like me with hijab wants to work in the Beauty Industry, and is completely stunned that I dare step foot in their salon, much less to want to work with hijab and not cut hair for men. I go for interviews and have people fall to their knees laughing at me while others just ignore me until I leave. Always, Always the job is no longer availabe when they see me. I started to view meself as they see me. Somthing so ugly, nasty, etc. Therfore I decided to remove my hijab, just so I can work towards getting my hairstyling licenses. My first day without hijab is tomorrow (Nov 18) where I have to do a men's haircut in an interview setting. I Just saw this video, "put your hijab back on" now I am really confused because I have lost all hope of finding a job in a halal setting where I can keep my Hijab and not have to cut hair for men. Will someone please post a comment to let me know what you think of the situation.

Sincerely awating any comments or view that you like to share with me.
