One of the gems I got out of this story was sometimes a leader, like Umar (r), has to put his reputation on the line by appointing someone for their potential and not so much their track record relative to others. Reason why many leaders don't do that is because they don't want lose cred in the eyes of the people if the appointee fails. Ahmed
Hmm.. If I fix the weak links in myself that are keeping me from succeeding in the field of da'wah.. will it help the Ummah as a whole..??
